UK-Japanese Collaboration

The Co-SPACE team are excited to announce their UK-Japanese collaboration, thanks to joint funding from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

The collaboration, entitled “Learning from the trajectories of mental health challenges for children, young people and parents across Japan and the UK over the course of COVID-19”, is being headed up by Dr Simona Skripkauskaite from the University of Oxford, and Dr Naho Morisaki from the National Centre for Child Health and Development.

Teams from Japan and the UK will work together to examine how COVID-19 and related public health measures have affected the mental health and wellbeing of parents, children and adolescents over time. You can read more about the collaboration here.

The award is one of ten jointly-funded projects sponsored by the ERSC, AHRC and JSPS; to find out more about the projects supported by these joint funds, follow this link.
